About
FROM THE RING TO A BIGGER MISSION
My name is Lazar, and my journey started in Serbia (Europe), where boxing became much more than a sport to me. It became a way of life.
Boxing taught me discipline, patience, resilience, and what it means to keep pushing when things get difficult. I dedicated myself to the sport, stepped into the ring as a professional at 20 years old, and built a record of 3-0.
I had big ambitions for my career. I wanted to keep improving, face tougher opponents, and see how far I could go.
But sometimes, the hardest fights happen outside the ring.

WHEN YOUR BODY CAN’T KEEP UP WITH YOUR AMBITION
As my career progressed, injuries began to take their toll.
I learned firsthand that training hard and fighting hard are only part of the equation. Recovery is just as important. Without it, even the most dedicated athlete can struggle to keep moving forward.
Getting the right recovery support wasn’t always easy. Professional treatments, sports massages, and other recovery services could become expensive, especially when you needed them regularly.
I started realizing something that bothered me.
Athletes were constantly told to work harder, train longer, and push their limits. But not enough attention was given to how they could recover properly and keep their bodies ready for the next session without spending a fortune.
My injuries eventually forced me to step away from professional competition.
It wasn’t how I imagined my boxing journey would unfold. Walking away from something you’d worked so hard for is never easy.
But even though my time competing professionally came to an end, boxing never left me.
And neither did the lessons it taught me.
A NEW CHAPTER IN AMERICA
After leaving professional competition, I moved from Serbia to the United States, beginning a new chapter in my life.
I spent time in Chicago before eventually settling in Sheridan, Wyoming.
My life was changing, but my connection to combat sports remained. I still thought about the fighters putting in the work every day: the ones chasing their first win, preparing for their next fight, or simply trying to become better than they were yesterday.
I knew what it felt like to have big goals and limited resources. I knew how frustrating it could be when the right equipment or recovery support felt out of reach.
And I kept coming back to one question:
What if fighters could access practical training and recovery tools without having to spend a fortune?
That question became the starting point for Smarter Boxing.
WHY I CREATED SMARTER BOXING
I didn’t want to build another store filled with products that simply looked good in an advertisement.
I wanted to create a brand focused on products that serve a real purpose.
Equipment that helps fighters work on specific skills. Tools that make training more engaging and challenging. Recovery essentials that fit into a fighter’s routine without automatically requiring expensive appointments or treatments.
That’s the idea behind Smarter Boxing.
Every fighter has different goals, different challenges, and a different journey. But we all understand the importance of getting better, staying consistent, and making the most of the time we put into our sport.
My mission is to make it easier for fighters to find useful equipment that supports those goals.
Not through empty promises. Not by pretending a product can replace hard work.
But by focusing on practical tools, thoughtful product selection, and the needs of people who take their training seriously.
SMARTER RECOVERY
Recovery shouldn’t be an afterthought.
My own experience taught me how important it is to give your body attention outside the gym, too.
Our recovery collection focuses on practical essentials designed to complement your routine, help you take better care of your training equipment, and make recovery habits easier to maintain.
Because the work doesn’t end when the bell rings.
THE FIGHT CONTINUES.
My professional record will always be part of my story.
But Smarter Boxing is about something bigger than my own career.
It’s about the fighters who are just getting started, the ones working toward their next breakthrough, and those who refuse to stop improving.
If my experience has taught me anything, it’s that becoming a better fighter means more than simply working harder.
It means training with purpose, respecting recovery, and making the most of every opportunity to improve.
That’s why I created Smarter Boxing.
Built by fighters. For fighters.
Train smarter. Fight better.
